Emma Bridgewater began making pottery in 1985, after she tried and failed to find the right birthday present for her mum. "I was looking for a really special cup and saucer, but everything was either too formal or too clunky. That was my eureka moment. I realised there was a gap in the market for pottery that was beautiful and practical; pottery for a relaxed, colourful, mismatched life." she says. We think she has hit the nail on the head there and continues to make beautiful and practical pottery just like she says!
Emma Bridgewater Polka Dot pottery is dishwasher and microwave safe, however a lower temperature wash and liquid detergent are recommended to maintain appearance. Emma Bridgewater Polka Dot pottery not oven safe unless marked as cookware.
