The cork backing is made from cork and eucaplyptus wood that has grown in environmentally managed forests - meaning you are getting a great product that isn't affecting the environment. Simply wipe clean with a damp cloth after use. Pimpernel use a special technique which prevents the edges of the mats peeling meaning they will last for many years.
