Here at Philip Morris & Son have been stocking Barbour Jackets for over 30 years and have been retailing their clothing online for nearly 10 years, giving us unrivalled expertise that we are happy to pass on to make sure you get the perfect jacket for you. As one of the biggest UK customers we also have an excellent stock holding which mean we can hopefully fulfil your orders even when other have sold out.
In recent years as they have grown from a traditional country brand to a fashion must have we have grown our range to cater for the demands of our customers. We stock the vast majority of items from the Contemporary, Classic and lifestyle ranges as well as nearly the entire Sporting range, in total some 100 or so styles of jacket and coat, as well as dozens of hats, gloves, scarves, jumpers, shirts, bags and many other accessories.
It’s all a huge change from when we started retailing Barbour, at that point their range was little more than a dozen jacket, with no jackets specifically cut for women and nearly all the jackets made of waxed cotton (or sylkoil to give it the more technical name).
In the last couple of years the rapidly growing popularity of the quilted jacket has meant that for the first time in J Barbour & Sons long history, they are selling more quilted jacket than waxed jackets. They have been making quilts for many years, with style like the keeperwear quilted jacket and gilet, being hugely popular amongst the brands sporting roots.
One of the lesser known but certainly worthy of talking about parts of the range is their luggage. Constructed from a range of traditional fabrics including, waxed cotton., leather and canvas, their luggage range comprises item people aspire too, and once they have on treasure it for years.
The popularity in recent years is such that not only are their huge number of celebrities wearing their products, but there are Facebook page, twitter tweeters , and many other social network groups dedicated to the worship of this iconic British brand. Long may it continue!
